  • A Day in the Snow

On Saturday morning, we woke up at 4:30 am…and drove to Mountain High.  Despite the lack of sleep, the spontaneous day in the snow was a blast!!

This is what I saw when I first got out of the car — beautiful, isn’t it?

Here’s Joshie on the shuttle… contemplating the snow.

Joshie’s first time playing with snow.  I caught him mid-action —
dropping a ball of snow to the ground.

    Here’s Joshie pretending to snowboard.

    Here’s Joshie and his mama.

    Joshie tickling my sister.  :)

So after much ado, we finally got to the main event:  tubing!
This is the picture before our very first time.

It was awesome!  Joshie was giggling with sheer delight the whole way down.  My sister watched from the side and said that his whole face lit up as he was going down — he was grinning from ear to ear.  I feel so privileged to have gotten to experience his first trip down — hearing him giggle like that was PRICELESS!

Here’s Sam & Joshie tubing together.  If you listen carefully, you can hear Joshie giggling.

After 2 hours of tubing, we decided to take a break and build a snowman.
It was both Joshie’s and Sam’s first time. :)

Here’s our completed snowman.  We were trying to take a group photo,
but Joshie was being silly.  Note that everyone is looking at him — even the snowman!

Final group pic with Mr. Snowman.
    Here’s Joshie, Mom, Sam, me.
