  • Saved… for Seminary!

I was in the parking lot walking toward the MM public library entrance yesterday when I was startled by a screeching car.  I looked up to find a teen in a big truck with some friends.  The driver hadn’t seen me.  I could hear her panicked swearing through the car’s open windows.  “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, really, I’m sorry!”  she said to me.  This was followed by some nervous laughter among her friends as the driver muttered, “OMG, I didn’t see that lady!!”  (‘That lady’ being me.)

God really saved me!   If she had realized I was standing there one second later, it would’ve been one second too late.  She must’ve been completely distracted by her friends as she zoomed into the lot.  And only God could’ve alerted her to my whereabouts.  I’m so glad for God’s safekeeping!

It allowed me to go to my very first seminary class last night:  hermeneutics.  And today, I had my first class of the language of Biblical Greek.  I think seminary should be spelled “F-U-N”!!  It’s going to be a super-challenging quarter — especially learning Greek, but it’s going to be so thrilling as the ancient language of the Scriptures will be unlocked to me.  I can hardly wait!!  :)
