i think we have access to an endless supply of jesus. but i also think that supply is untapped - can i comprehend the depth of the cross? can i live everyday with an endless supply of jesus? maybe then, i can wish for the ability to tap into the endless supply of jesus.
true. we have an endless supply of Jesus: His grace, His love, His power, but so few of us tap into all of this rich inheritance which He offers us. we are foolish heirs running around trying to develop our own means for living while we have access to millions of times more!
perhaps it is true that we cannot comprehend the depth of all that He is, but the reality is that we have that need. 'deep calls to deep'. the depth of who we are calls out to the depth of who He is, and the depth of who He is calls out to the depth of who we are. there is no rest til we are truly in each other's presence.
If we had an endless supply (jerky or otherwise), perhaps we would no longer crave it. Of course throwing Jesus in there changes the question. I think we know that we were created to crave Him. And often we try to fulfill cravings of him with other things.
