Increasing in number
Just now as I was standing in front of the washing machine putting in a load of laundry, Sam swooped into the hallway saying excitedly, "I know what we could do tomorrow..."
"What," I said. I was thinking he'd say, go to the park, go buy some more household items...
"We could increase the number of our family to three!"
I'm pretty sure my jaw dropped. "What?" My heart stopped for a second. I thought we weren't ready!
From my silent (shocked) reaction, he thought I hadn't heard him. So he repeated himself (in an oh so happy-go-lucky and excited voice), "We could increase the number..."
and then it hit me, oh yeah! We were talking about getting a pet!!
Oh my, but what a shocker that was. I seriously thought he meant a baby.

you are getting a pet? A dog? A rabbit?
hahhaha too funny
oh wow....
ahahahaha
that is really funny. it shocked me, too. =)
shocked me too!
a bunny?!
Wow, I read Sam's post first and had to read yours to understand that Sam didn't mean that you were going to have a kid. Post pictures of your pet when you get him/her!
I recommend a bird... cockatiel, parakeet, or african grey. You can teach 'em to talk.
Chinchilla! There's a great farm in Vista off the 78.
fish are good
he he...got to watch out for those dogs...they'll change your life
oh man, oh man. this is too good. i would say a hamster, but i remember really wanting a cat and settling for a hamster b/c that was what we could handle as a family. but now that my days of wanting a cat are subsided... i feel as though there is a freedom unleashed for favoring other pets.
i will happily embrace whatever pet you take in... somehow i picture you and sam with a doggie. a very cute, playful and dutiful doggie. we need salm's shirt of dogs to find a good one (haha now i'm invested). ok i'll still happily embrace whatever you should choose.
by the way, i love the way you used the word "swooped" just now. that was perfect.
Oh my gosh I almost peed from shock when I thought you meant a baby! Hahahahahahahaha!
I know of a tarantula that needs a good home.
ahha.. what a great story!!
