  last october, sam asked me to be his valentine.    i guess you could say he wanted to reserve me for that day.      he is my first valentine.  indubitably worth the wait.

  
  

  

  
  

  at around 5pm that evening, the doorbell rang…
  and i found these flowers at my door!   
  they get more beautiful by the day.

  
  

  

  
  

  sam prepared a good meal for us for dinner…
  and made strawberry jello for dessert (whoo!  my favorite!)
  and he bought some pickles for us to snack on (yum!)

  
  

  

  
  

  and for the first time in over a decade, i attempted to bake something.  it looks beautiful but turned out as hard as rock. :(  well, i guess that means this heart won’t break.   

  
  

  we spent the rest of the evening learning vietnamese together from an interactive ”learning Vietnamese” CD that i bought him.  –aren’t we romantic?   

  
  

  it was a fun night… i’m thankful for him and how he made the time to plan something special to make me smile.
