A Captive
The days of sneakyness were also the days of being a captive. I remember what it was like to be a captive. Do you? I was a captive to this world; I was captivated by this world. And the world had nothing to offer me but heartache, disappointment and shame. And so out of the depths of hollowness, I cried to Him. I cried out in earnest, “O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.” (Psalm 130) And He heard me. And He redeemed me.
“When the Lord brought back the captives to Zion, we were like men who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, ‘The Lord has done great things for them.’” Ps 126:1-2. This was me. This is me. And may it be so that nations would see and recognize and know…
“Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.” Ps 126:5. I think the Lord is calling me to sow.

I do, I do. May we NEVER forget the depths from which He has saved us from, our judgment sentence, and our Pardon (Christ). May we never stop savoring the pure sweetness of our salvation. He has afforded us the opportunity to have an intimate relationship with the living God!!! Is that not cause to celebrate every minute?!?
Ohh, Mary Ann – I was totally looking forward to hanging out with you at the end of my crazy week. =((( I was sooo excited and then sooo sad Thursday night when I didn’t finish my paper. Because that meant limited and strained time with you the next day.
It looks like you and Shannon had a superawesome night together, though, so I totally praise God for allowing you two to chat/share/encourage/challenge one another in this stage of life. :] You two fit together like adjacent pieces of the puzzle; I’m so glad the Lord allowed for the two of you to meet. =)
YES, IT’S AN ABSOLUTE MIRACLE FROM GOD ALONE THAT I FINISHED TONIGHT!!!! SOLI DEO GLORIA. THANKS, GOD, FOR ALLOWING ME TO SEE THIS MIRACLE REALIZED; ANSWERED PRAYERRRRRR!
Glad you had sooo much fun with Shannon (and me). :]] I had a blast during the time I got to spend with you – thanks for calling when you got back home! I think what saddens me most is not being able to bodily send you off in prayer with joy and thanksgiving . So, I will do so in spirit… pleaseeeeeeeee e-mail (onfire4_God@yahoo.com) me with any and all prayer requests, Mary Ann. I don’t want to lose touch with you!!!
Loveeeee in Him,
Janette
“Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them” (Deuteronomy 4:9a, NIV).
