• Mt. Soledad

  
  

  The court ruled this week that the Cross on top of Mt. Soledad in La Jolla is going to be removed!!  I have fond memories of that cross - from the beginning of my Christian walk in high school, through college and post!  I spent my first Easter there at dawn with some of the youth group (I remember Josh Chien as the ring-leader and Daniel Lowe playing guitar)... What fun to worship Jesus! 

  
  

  So I was thinking... hey, let's get together and worship Jesus just this one last time on top of Mt. Soledad this Easter Sunday.  Who's in?

  
  

  Addendum (4/1/04):  Last night I took out a picture I had of me and the cross from 3/24/98 and put it next to a picture I have from Oct 03.  It was weird having them in juxtaposition of each other - 5 years different, same cross, same God... but different me.

  
  

  I had written these words next to the 1998 picture:  "Lord, I want to love you with my life.  I want to obey you to the utmost of my capabilities and trust you beyond my limitations.  Father, wherever you lead me, I will follow - no matter what the cost.  I surrender my life to you - every single aspect.  I am your child and your obedient servant."  I have James 1:12 and Gal 2:20 written next to it also.

  
  

  Such was my heart's desire and commitment to the Lord, and He has taken me up on that offer finally.  Finally!!
