  • Last night I played the song, “You Said” repeatedly (it’s been my latest obsession).  I felt so moved by it, I put my hands on the world map in my room and offered the prayer of my heart to the Lord.  He said, “Ask of me, and I will give you the nations” — and THAT’s the cry of my heart!  I started reading the names of different cities and islands and nations.  I’ve never heard of or seen so many of these names before – and yet, the Lord Most High knows all the people in those places, and He loves every one.  That amazes me!

I had a long talk with God last night.  It was mainly one-sided though:  full of questions – “How can I love You most?  How do I live for You?  Where should I go?  What should I do?”  Questions like that.  No answers, but it felt good to ask and express the desires of my heart.  I want that everything I think about, say and act upon would last for all of eternity.  The only things that will last forever and ever are things that have to do with Him.  I don’t want to waste my life on things that won’t last!  That would be just foolishness.

My prayers have been more fervent, honest and passionate these days.  About the nations, about living for Jesus, about my future… so many longings to live as He’s called me to live!  That’s the big picture.  The big picture keeps me steady… in an ever-changing world.
