There's a cute little blue house on Embry in MM that we looked at that I really liked. It became my top choice for several reasons (namely, the landlords know Jesus and are really nice & professional; the house is cute & well taken care of; the neighborhood is quiet and nice; the rent is excellent). PS found it agreeable also. So we gave them money for a credit check.
Unfortunately, due to the time & distance it takes to the 15, PS changed her mind on Tuesday morning, and respectfully, I agreed to remove ourselves as applicants for this house.
But after I hung up with the landlord, I felt unsettled. There was something about the house that intuitively felt "right". And it bothered me so much, that I started praying. I prayed that if it was indeed God's will that we have this house, that God would change PS's mind! I KNEW even as I was praying that God would do it. I was so confident that He would give us the best that I knew I didn't want to try to talk to her and persuade. I wanted God to do the persuading!
On Wednesday, she called me up and said that she changed her mind! I hung up rejoicing. Wow, God answers prayers!!
It turned out that the landlord had not made a decision about who to rent the house to yet (even though they said they were gonna by Wed), and by 7:30pm that nite, after much talking, discussing and praying, we had signed the lease! Praise God!
And so ends a looong, arduous search (full of ups and downs) for a house. Welcome Home to Embry, my 3rd place of residence away from my parents' home.
