Sad day at Huerta House.
I had to say goodbye to Chamomile, our crazy needy rabbit, this morning. I'm gonna miss that furball!! As much as she peed on the carpet and went into Chortle's cage when she wasn't supposed to, shed all over me, and made me itch with her allergic scratches, I could never resist the way she'd come up to me begging for a good rub-down. She will be delivered into Amelia's hands today. Sadly, my eyes filled with tears this morning. boo.
and so begins our big transition: moving out of Huerta House.
On another note, I bought the DVD of Pride & Prejudice this morning with a gift certificate that's been burning in my wallet since November. I'm a sucker for Jane Austen literature. This Collin Firth movie brings it to life.

hey guyen, i was thinking maybe on one of our non-working june or july days we could dedicate one day to just chilling and watching P & P.. since i've never seen it, read it, whatever.. i guess i could give it a try. plus it might be good to relax like that. we can even have pam come, since she'll prob still be here. (loud snickering commences.)
what? really? you'd do that??? wow... i'm speechless. you've always rolled your eyes at my love of Jane Austen, 19th century literature.
I like Jane Austen, but I roll my eyes at her at the same time!
I share your sentiments Mary Ann. my last book shopping spree was Jane Austin everything...I just finished reading Emma and I can't wait til i get some free time to start another one. And i love P&P..haha..when I was alone for a couple of days during the summer I went to Blockbuster and rented it and pretty much watched the whole thing the whole way through that nite by myself. Best time I ever had.
(Collin Firth is great!)
Hahaha... in case you are wondering who mghtymousi is, it's actually me, Vanessa. mghtymousi is my roommate marianne..haha I was using her comp and forgot to sign her out. ((woops))
Jane Austen is the best!!!!! i've been meaning to watch that 3-4 hour long DVD. can we watch it together sometime????
Yes, anyone who wants to watch it with me (when it arrives) is totally welcome! I'll write it on my xanga! Just let me know. I'm also willing to watch it more than once. haha.
oh my goodness.. i was just about to say that --i'm waay into that kind of literature, but for some weird reason, i also kind of shirk back from obsessive "i'm so crazy about..." things, which might be the feeling you get (much like the "ahhhh, too much nav pride" thing.)
and then i saw daniel's comment.. that says it all for me too.
(please, i hope this doesn't make you mad.)
is it like you don't want to be passionate/obsessive about anything?
live in moderation and hopefully no one will buy you little trinkets?
(c'mon i don't get mad that easily!!)
man, i dun like jane austen.. nor pride and prejudice.. and i have to read it again this qtr! plus lead a discussion on it.. in my philosophy class of all places? how in the world is it philosophical?? hmm.. maybe this summer mary ann will change my mind :0)
