Had accountability with the Nobel Girls last nite. I love these times with them! I think every situation is as you make it, and I think what we've made it is a time of getting together and sharing everything -- even our deepest & darkest. There is something remarkable about being completely honest. I feel like it gives me so much room to grow.
I felt like I could pray more "real" last night. With more authority, perhaps? When I'm not just cruising on neutral with God but actually intimate with Him, I find that I can pray with more conviction that He is really and actually listening. When I believe that He's really listening, there is a different feel to my prayers. I don't know if THEY (the other girls) can sense it, but it sure is different to me... I love those kinds of prayers.
Note: if you're not in an accountability group, get in one! I highly recommend it.

wow... cool
who are the nobel girls?
hey a topic that I just thought of that you could blog about heehee
:
best ways to cut the fat out of money spending and live a simpler life.
and maybe that could even include wisdoms on that topic and how its helped you?
Nobel is the street between Huerta House and Costa Verde Casa. The residents in these two apartments: (Mary Ann, Sam, Tomoko, Cindy and Pam) meet for accountability every Tuesday night, and we have named ourselves "the Nobel Girls."
That's awesome Mary Ann! I think in general we all need to realize the spiritual reality - that is, God listens and answers our prayers and he does so quickly! I think if we are mindful of that as we pray, we are able to approach his throne of grace with a lot more confidence. He has always given us the authority and these gifts- let's unwrap them and put them to use!
I want to be in an accountability group!
daniel, i'll pray that you'll find one.
