I think it’s real.
Yesterday, we spent hours and hours and then finally at last walked away from Little Saigon with our wedding bands. “Little Saigon”, for those of you who don’t know, is a segment of a town called Santa Ana that has Vietnamese malls and stores and shops. It’s the closest to Vietnam that we’ve got in southern California, and there’s this mall there that has dozens and dozens of jewelry stores, one right next to the other. Sam and I looked and looked for “the perfect rings” until we were both bleary-eyed and thoroughly exhausted. We must’ve looked at a few hundred rings and spoken to a few dozen jewelers. Some were nice but most were pushy and aggressive. One lady even asked me why I didn’t like a ring I had been looking at and why I didn’t want it. Another lady was so quick to measure the ring Sam was looking at and tell us the price and then punch some numbers on her calculator to give us a discount, we had to run to escape. But we knew we couldn’t settle just for any ring — because, like my mom said, there are so many things you can upgrade in life, but you can’t upgrade your wedding ring. We can’t skimp on the bands. We’ll be wearing them for the rest of our lives.
So the moment of truth came when at last I came across the ring. It was exactly what I wanted. The jeweler had this machine and he tested out each of the little diamonds on it to show us that they were real. My mom helped us get a great bargain out of it — and then at last, the gentleman handed me my wedding ring — and my heart took a swooping dive for a moment as it hit me — really hit me — that it’s real. It’s real. And now I’m not talking about the diamonds. But… the fact that I’m really getting married. *whoah* And when Sam put his ring on his finger… now then, that was a moment to remember.

Nice. Now I don’t know much about weddings and all, but as I recall, aren’t you supposed to put Sam’s ring on his finger at the ceremony?
hi mary ann, you can have my wedding dress if you want. I got it from grace birgbauer. I didn’t alter the length, but I altered the top. Let me know if you’re interested
